Report: ‘Explosive’ player has now agreed deal to leave Chelsea this summer

Chelsea are not taking long to make a number of sales in this summer transfer window.

Ian Maatsen is set for a move across the Premier League to Aston Villa, with the Blues recieveing a substantial transfer fee off the back of his strong loan spell at Borussia Dortmund last season.

There has been no hesitation for the club to move on some of the players who made their name off the back of their time in the academy.

Jamie Cumming, who had been at the club for the best part of 16 years, is now looking as if he will be on the move to Oxford United after his own loan spell with them last season.

Charlie Webster was also moved on despite only recently signing a contract with the Blues, and now another youngster is going to be joining him at Burton Albion.

Dylan Williams to leave Chelsea

Dylan Williams made quite the impression on club legend John Terry during his time at Cobham. However, according to BBC Sport, the 20-year-old is set for a loan with an obligation to buy for Burton Albion too.

Former manager Thomas Tuchel had at one point called the left-sided defender up to first team training, suggesting there was real faith in what the future could hold for him.

An impressive spell at Derby County before making the move to Stamford Brudge only furthered that, with him being described in his time there as ‘explosive’.

Chelsea signing top young players

The Blues are keen to bring in a number of the top young players from around the world before fellow elite sides get their hands on them.

The highlight additions up to now have been Estevao Willian and Kendry Paez, with the latter recently showing his brilliance at the Copa America.

However, these young players coming in mean it is worrying times for the Cobham graduates, and Williams looks as if he is one of those who will be moved on as a result.
