Sunderland fans all have a lot to say after Hummel release new 2024/25 home kit

Sunderland revealed their 2024/25 home kit this morning, following a highly anticipated reunion with Hummel.

Sunderland announced that they had agreed a new five-year deal with Hummel in April, having last worked with the kit supplier in 1994.

Fans were ecstatic by the news due to the popularity of their previous kits, before very quickly selling out the brand new retro limited range days later.

Leaks of next season’s home kit had been released in recent months, with supporters extremely excited to see what the team would be sporting after Jobe Bellingham claimed it was ‘amazing’.

The club released the home shirt this morning, writing on the official website: “The 2024-25 home shirt pays homage to the City of Sunderland’s proud shipbuilding heritage, with the all-over stripes referencing the Club’s former crest and the inner neck adorned with archival images depicting shipyards and vessels.

“‘From the banks of the River Wear’ graces the inside collar and the shirt is anchored to our contemporary home, as the coordinates of the Stadium of Light are subtly placed on the outer neck.”

Sunderland fans have all been reacting to the kit release on social media and have so far had no complaints.
