'You're the sucker, you're the loser': Biden hits Trump on reported veteran comments

President Joe Biden got aggressive during a segment of the CNN debate in which the subject turned to military affairs.

The president went after former President Donald Trump for the 2020 reporting in The Atlantic, where Trump allegedly visited a World War I grave site and labelled American troops who died as "losers" and "suckers."

"You're the sucker, you're the loser," said Biden, whose deceased elder son served in the military and died of cancer that the president attributes to exposure to burn pits.

Trump, for his part, vehemently denied ever having said the quote, claiming that it was a lie told by a "third-rate magazine."

"It was made up by him, just like Russia, Russia, Russia," Trump insisted, before launching into an unrelated complaint about how Russian interference in the election wasn't real. Investigative reports by federal prosecutors showed that it was.
