'Sensational' Leeds player has already signed his contract to leave Elland Road, exit 'imminent' - journalist

Exit number two of the summer is now ‘imminent’ at Leeds United.

Jack Harrison became the first departure of the summer at Elland Road earlier this week, as he perhaps unsurprisingly returned to Everton on loan for a second spell.

No option-to-buy has been inserted into the deal for Harrison but there is the possibility Everton could look to sign him permanently in due course, as per Fabrizio Romano.

Much has been made of Leeds‘ need to sell players before June 30 in order to comply with PSR, the date which represents the end of the financial year in football.

However, those reports have clearly been exaggerated with just two days remaining until that deadline and those attracting the big money no closer to leaving.

Marc Roca has already signed a contract to leave Leeds

Leeds supporters’ only real interest this summer in terms of departures will be those who go from last season’s first team squad.

Crysencio Summerville, Willy Gnonto, Archie Gray and most recently lllan Meslier have all been linked with exits, but it is another of the former loanees who is close to moving on.

According to journalist Gonzalo Tortosa, Marc Roca has already signed his contract ahead of a move back to Real Betis on a permanent deal, putting pen-to-paper on a four-year-deal, with the option of another.

It is said a return to the Spanish side is now ‘imminent’ for the ‘sensational‘ midfielder, who had been on loan there last season.

Roca was expected to join Betis on a temporary deal for a second time after Leeds’ failure to win promotion, but clearly after an impressive season, they want to sign him up full-time.

It remains unclear when the two clubs will officially announce the transfer, though the Athletic reported earlier this week that Leeds are keen for it go through next week, after June 30.

How much are Leeds getting for Roca?

Leeds are set to officially make a loss on Roca having signed him for £10 million from Bayern Munich back in the summer of 2022.

Instead, Betis are set to pay over half that amount at £4.25 million, though it is a deal Leeds are said to be ‘content’ with.

This is because it will not impact them too heavily in terms of Profit & Sustainability rules, which has been the talk of Leeds’ summer.

Betis are actually also keen on signing another of Leeds’ returning loanees in Diego Llorente, and are confident of getting a deal done.
