Skylark Garden Centre in Wimblingtonsupports TeamGB for the 2024 Paris Olympics with this summer’s maize maze design

Local family attraction Skylark Events is backing Team GB during the Paris Olympics this summer as they dedicate their well-known Maize Maze and Funyard design to support the team.

Visitors can follow over three kilometres of pathways in the Team GB themed Maize Maze to complete the Olympic-themed game and solve the maize maze challenge. The funyard includes a new attraction this year which is to be announced soon, plus their Pesky Pigeon Tractor Ride, pedal go-kart track, jumping pillow, water wars, giant slide complex, pig racing, zip-wire plus much more.

You can enjoy the Maize Maze & and all the funyard activities all day for one entry price, it’s an a-maizing family fun day out.

Skylark is due to release their a-maizing overhead maize maze design in the coming weeks once their maize grows up to over 6ft tall!

It took the events team a week of toiling in the fields to design and cut out the pathways in the maize field using a rotavator. The paths are carefully cut out using GPS technology to plot the image to create a maze for visitors to explore throughout the summer, think of it as a dot-to-dot, but on a 12-acre field.

Event Manager, Bart Woodbine said: “We’re so excited to be supporting Team GB during the 2024 Paris Olympics, it’s a great opportunity to get the families into sports to promote a healthy lifestyle.

“We’ll also be releasing the brilliant overhead maize maze design soon, but we’re not quite ready for that, but keep an eye on our social media to be the first to see the a-maizing design.”
