'Set to undergo medical tests': Fabrizio Romano says Wolves now closing in on two signings worth £34m in total

Wolverhampton Wanderers have been quite busy on the transfer front in recent weeks.

Earlier this month, Wolves beat Chelsea to a deal for Sport Recife full-back and Brazil youth international Pedro Lima.

And in recent days, the Molineux outfit is said to have struck an agreement over Celta Vigo forward Jorgen Strand Larsen.

Now, Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on both deals, and it’s good news for Wolves fans.

Jorgen Strand Larsen and Pedro Lima set for Wolves medicals

According to Romano, Wolves fans shouldn’t have to wait too long for both signings to be announced.

The transfer insider has taken to X to report that Larsen and Lima are both set to undergo medical tests at the club at the start of next week.

Romano also said Wolves are ready to announce both signings next week, and will be paying €40million (around £34million) in total, including add-ons.

What can Wolves fans expect from Larsen and Lima?

Football Talent Scout’s Jacek Kulig has compared Larsen to Sweden legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic on X, deeming him an “extremely interesting” forward.

Last season, Larsen registered 13 goals and three assists in 37 La Liga appearances for Celta Vigo. He has also won 14 caps for Norway, scoring three times.

Meanwhile, Lima has already played for Recife 26 times, despite being just 17 years of age. He has also registered two goals and two assists.

Lima’s style of play has been compared to that of Brazil legend Cafu, and GiveMeSport even predicted he ‘could be one of the fastest players in the Premier League next season’.

Wolves fans should be getting excited about both players, with Gary O’Neil wasting no time in bolstering his ranks ahead of the 2024/25 campaign. Chances are they’re only just getting started.
