Exclusive: After Omari Kellyman signing, Chelsea now hopeful of sealing deal for another 'sensational' PL talent

Chelsea have been busy on the transfer front over the past few weeks as the club looks to revamp their squad ahead of the new season.

The Blues have already sealed three deals, with Tosin Adarabioyo, Estevao Willian and Omari Kellyman all joining, and it looks as though they’ve only just begun.

Now, Chelsea are seemingly optimistic of getting a fourth deal over the line, with a new midfield arrival potentially on the cards.

Chelsea optimistic of signing Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

TBR Football understands that Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has told Leicester City that he wants to join Chelsea.

Chelsea have opened talks with Leicester and they are hopeful of sealing a deal for the 25-year-old – who shone under Enzo Maresca last season.

Chelsea are working on sending at least one player to Leicester – to help smooth over the deal.

Dewsbury-Hall looked set to join Brighton & Hove Albion after a medical had been scheduled between the clubs.

However, it now looks as though Chelsea are in the driving seat to get a deal over the line, although there is still work to do.

Who is Chelsea target Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall?

If Chelsea manage to secure the signing of Dewsbury-Hall, they’d be landing a “sensational” player, as Brendan Rodgers once called him.

Dewsbury-Hall joined the Leicester academy as an eight-year-old and has risen through the ranks to become a first-team star.

The 25-year-old has made 129 appearances for the Foxes, registering 17 goals and 20 assists, and previously likened his style of play to two Premier League greats.

The reported Tottenham target told Sky Sports back in 2022: “The ideal player to describe myself as would be a mix between Paul Scholes and Kevin De Bruyne.”

As Leicester need to abide by profit and sustainability rules now they’re back in the Premier League, Chelsea will fancy their chances of getting a deal over the line.

The Blues have been linked with plenty of top talents in recent weeks and, with the transfer window still in its early stages, there’s a good chance more great signings will come through the door.
