Chelsea have reached a full agreement to sign £14m player, his medical in London is next week - journalist

It sounds like Chelsea are on the verge of making another signing as one transfer target is pencilled in to have a medical next week.

Chelsea’s transfer window is now fully kicking into gear after completing two new additions so far.

The Blues previously announced that central defender Tosin Adarabioyo has signed for them on a free transfer.

In addition, it was confirmed on Saturday that Omari Kellyman has joined from Aston Villa.

Chelsea may now be close to a third signing of the window.

Aaron Anselmino will have Chelsea medical next week

Journalist Rudy Galetti has claimed via X that Chelsea have reached a “full agreement” to sign Boca Juniors defender Aaron Anselmino.

It is explained that the 19-year-old player will have a medical in London next week either on Tuesday or Wednesday.

In addition, Chelsea will pay $18m (£14m) for the teenage centre-back. He’ll also be returning to Argentine giants Boca Juniors on loan for a year.

Anselmino is still at the very infancy of his senior career, playing just 10 first-team matches so far at Boca Juniors.

Therefore, it makes sense that he won’t be joining up with Chelsea until 2025.

He’s yet another young South American talent that supporters can keep an eye out for, though.

The defender will sign a long-term deal

Like so many of Chelsea’s signings under this ownership, Anselmino is tipped to pen a long contract at Stamford Bridge.

Journalist for Fabrizio Romano has reported via X that Boca Juniors youngster Anselmino has already agreed personal terms with Chelsea on a six-year deal.

Only time will tell what sort of signing this turns out to be.
