Faces were painted, coaches were soaked and hours of football were played during Newark Brazil FC’s end of season fun day at Newark RFC in early June.
Over 500 players, parents and siblings came together under glorious sunshine to celebrate yet another successful season for the club, which has been without a permanent home since the closure of Flowserve’s sports and social club in 2019.
The fun day was supported by Active4Today, Newark Castle Archers, Newark RFC and Lincoln College. JGP Group was the main sponsor.
The day’s centrepiece was the Coaches v Parents match, a fantastic hour of football played in good spirits on an excellent playing surface. The coaches won the match 2-0 for the second year in succession.
