'Could be revisited': Liverpool might propose key change to previous Anthony Gordon offer today

According to a journalist, Liverpool could launch a fresh proposal for Anthony Gordon.

The Reds seem eager to strengthen out wide as they look to assemble a squad that aligns with Arne Slot’s style of play.

Gordon has clearly been identified as the priority target on the flank but Newcastle are reluctant to sell their prized asset and talks had reportedly have broken down.

Though, a fresh update has emerged which claims Liverpool could submit a new offer for his signature today.

Liverpool could submit player plus cash bid for Anthony Gordon

According to journalist Francois Plateau, Liverpool are lining up another bid for Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon, however, Jarell Quansah won’t be involved in any player swap trade.

Quansah is set to be offered a new contract by Slot so it remains to be seen who Liverpool will be prepared to offer in the proposal.

After the expected sales of Yankuba Minteh and Elliot Anderson, it seems unlikely that Newcastle will budge at this stage, however, that could change if they’re enticed by the player offered.

Newcastle adamant Anthony Gordon will stay

Last month, TBR exclusively reported that Newcastle laughed off the idea that Gordon could leave this summer.

It was our information that the club were adamant none of their key assets had to be sold – with Alexander Isak and Bruno Guimaraes included in that.

So, as it stands, the Tynesiders are expected to keep hold of the England international despite Liverpool’s strong interest.

A telling 24 hours lie ahead as the club look to comply with Profit and Sustainability regulations ahead of the deadline tomorrow.

Once the financial year ends – all of this speculation is expected to come to an end
