Report: How much Elliot Anderson will earn when he signs for Nottingham Forest from Newcastle

Nottingham Forest are edging closer to the signing of Newcastle United midfielder Elliot Anderson with a £35 million deal near completion.

Forest have moved quickly to sign the Magpies performer, with clubs frantically trying to ensure they meet PSR guidelines ahead of tonight’s deadline.

Newcastle have needed to raise about £50 million and selling Anderson to Forest is pure profit given that he’s come from the club’s academy.

Forest have signed Eric da Silva Moreira so far this summer and it looks as though things are starting to ramp up a little bit.

With the Reds nearing the signing of Anderson, a report has now made some claims about the finances involved for the midfielder

How much Nottingham Forest will pay Elliot Anderson in wages

The Reds are close to getting this deal over the line and although £35 million sounds a lot it may well be structured.

Forest will likely pay a lump sum and then include £10 million of that fee in the way of add-ons and additional clauses.

Another attractive part of this deal for the Reds is that Anderson doesn’t look like he’s going to fleece the club in wages.

A report by The Guardian claims that Anderson wanted to stay at Newcastle but he’s agreed to move after being offered a 50% increase on his wages.

Capology claims that Anderson earns £30,000-a-week at Newcastle so it would appear that he will get around £45,000-a-week at Forest.

In the grand scheme of things that isn’t a huge outlay in wages and hopefully, Anderson can prove to be value for money.

Anderson ticks lots of boxes from Forest perspective

It sure does feel as though Forest are trying to be cuter in the transfer market this summer.

The priority appears clearly to bring in more young players who have the potential to come in and improve whilst at Forest.

Anderson is only 21-years-old yet he has 44 Premier League appearances to his name which should bode well.

The talented player will join a decent crop of midfielders at the City Ground.

Danilo, Ibrahim Sangare, Nicolas Dominguez and Ryan Yates are all in place at the club and Anderson should compliment them nicely.

The talented Newcastle academy graduate can operate as a defensive midfielder or further forward and there is lots to like about this deal.
