Police re-appeal for witnesses after cyclist pushed from bike by someone leaning out of passing car in Sulham on June 25

Police have re-appealed for witnesses after a man was seriously injured after being pushed off his bicycle by someone in a passing car.

The incident took place at about 8pm on Tuesday, June 25 at the Sulham Hill junction with Long Lane, in Sulham.

Between 8pm and 8.20pm, the victim, a 29-year-old man, was cycling near the junction when he was pushed from his bicycle by a suspect who leaned out of a passing vehicle.

The victim sustained a fractured jaw, broken teeth, lacerations to his face and concussion.

He was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.

Investigating officer PC Jake Schulz said: “This assault left the victim seriously injured.

“Unfortunately, due to the nature of the incident, the victim was not able to see the person who carried out the assault, or the car in which they were travelling.
