White Hart Inn in Boxford to reopen after eight-month closure

A village pub built more than 400 years ago is set to reopen after being closed for eight months.

The White Hart Inn in Boxford, between Hadleigh and Sudbury, will welcome customers once again as it will reopen at 8am tomorrow after closing its doors in November.

New owner Howard Watts, who also runs the Riddesdells Garage in the village, saved the pub from permanent closure in April after previous tenants announced a sudden closure less than a year after moving in due to unforeseen circumstances.

The reopening was originally planned for yesterday, it was delayed because a coffee machine was ‘lost in transit’, according to the pub's Facebook page.

The pub will be serving coffee and cake until 4pm with the bar open from 12pm until 10.30am.
