Report: Three PL clubs want 'fantastic' £40m-rated Nottingham Forest star but he wants to stay

Things are very rarely quiet on the transfer front when it comes to Nottingham Forest and the summer window.

When the Reds first won promotion back to thePremier League in 2022, 30 new additions came to the club.

Fast forward 12 months and Forest added another 13 to their ranks during a somewhat reserved window for the club.

Now, it remains to be seen what this year’s edition of the transfer window and one aim will be to keep hold of the current stars.

A number of players have been linked with moves away from the City Ground, with Murillo, Morgan Gibbs-White and Anthony Elanga all linked to other clubs.

Another player who had a good season during 2023/24 wasCallum Hudson-Odoi and now some news has come to light about him.

Report shares what Callum Hudson-Odoi wants to do this summer

Hudson-Odoi was an astonishing £3 million signing for Forest during the summer of 2023.

He proved himself to the fan base last season by scoring eight goals as Forest avoided relegation back to the EFL.

Shortly after last season finished, Hudson-Odoi was linked with Tottenham.

Now, however, The Athletic has claimed that three Premier League clubs want to sign Hudson-Odoi before the window closes.

Forest fans have no need to worry just yet though, with the report also claiming that Hudson-Odoi is keen to stay on Trentside.

It’s believed that he’s enjoying playing for Forest and is also enjoying playing under Nuno Espirito Santo.

Any club that does want to sign him will have to dig very deep too, with Forest commanding over £40 million for his services.

Hudson-Odoi has made the right decision over Forest future

This is a nice change of pace from a stereotypical modern-day footballer.

It would be so easy for Hudson-Odoi to say thanks to Forest for last year but demand a move to a bigger club with bigger Premier League aspirations.

Instead, it would appear that he’s keen to stay at the club and continue playing regularly and getting back to his very best.

Hudson-Odoi had some rotten luck with injuries before signing for Forest but last season he seemed to do alright on that front.

At the end of his time with Chelsea, however, he was called‘fantastic’ by Thomas Tuchel and there is definitely a quality player in there.

With another year of football under his belt at Forest, the winger could seriously hit top form again.

That is a scary thought for Forest to consider and if he does go the extra mile next season, his valuation could be even higher than it is right now.
