Report: Arsenal scouts are in Germany to watch £26m 'superstar' at Euro 2024 this evening

Arsenal are one of several European teams who will have scouts in place to watch one player who is thriving at Euro 2024.

By most accounts, Mikel Arteta wants to add a left-back, a central midfielder and a new forward to his Arsenal squad in the coming months.

This summer will be about fine-tuning for the Gunners, who have no need to tear up their squad after a record-breaking season.

But when decision-makers in north London consider where Arsenal fell down last campaign, they will likely look at both league defeats to Aston Villa.

Particularly in April, Arsenal looked fatigued against Unai Emery’s side, unable to capitalise on their early dominance.

And that’s perhaps because Arteta only had 14 or 15 players he really trusted in the key moments.

The likes of William Saliba and Bukayo Saka played so many minutes, Arteta seemingly didn’t feel he could afford them a rest.

That being said, Arsenal will return stronger next season, and may even have some new faces in their starting eleven too, as well as improving their squad depth.

Arsenal scouts will be in the stands to watch Turkiye star Ferdi Kadioglu at Euro 2024

Arsenal need a new left-back this summer as stated, and it seems as if Turkiye’s Ferdi Kadioglu could be the man.

£26m-rated Kadioglu has impressed at Euro 2024 for his country, a right-footed full-back who often inverts from the left.

The 24-year-old is considered a ‘superstar’ for Fenerbahce – explaining why Jose Mourinho would be loath to lose Kadioglu to Arsenal.

But it seems as if the defender will be available for the right price, which has caught the attention of several clubs.

And to that end, Fotomac have now reported that Arsenal will be one of several clubs watching Kadioglu for Turkiye against Austria on Tuesday evening.

Kadioglu could line up alongside Real Madrid star Arda Guler, who is also said to be of interest to The Gunners.

English sides West Ham United, Fulham and Wolverhampton Wanderers are also said to have scouts ready to watch Kadigolu, who presents a fairly unique skill-set.

Of course, following all this interest, Arsenal may end up facing a bigger price tag than the one mentioned, explaining why they may need to move quickly.

That being said, Arsenal are leading race to sign a different £40m defender considered ‘one the best in the world’
