Report: How much Archie Gray will earn after leaving Leeds United to sign six-year Tottenham deal

Archie Gray is in line for a significant pay rise after swapping Leeds United for Tottenham Hotspur this week, and a report now details just how much he is going to earn.

The 18-year-old has penned a six-year deal at Tottenham after a whirlwind weekend in which Aston Villa and Brentford both tried to sign the England U21 star, with Leeds needing to sell for financial reasons.

It comes after a wonderful 2023-24 season that almost ended in an instant return to the Premier League. But, Daniel Farke’s side fell at the final hurdle, losing to Southampton at Wembley in the play-off final.

That defeat meant Leeds had to sell by July 1 and Gray is the one to be sacrificed with no other offers on the table. It also sees Leeds bring in Joe Rodon permanently, thrashing out a deal in the same talks.

Now, a report shares how much Gray is going to get paid as a Tottenham player:

Tottenham to hand Gray a massive pay increase on Leeds wage

The teenage talent signed a new deal at Leeds in January, described as a ‘long-term’ contract. Little did Leeds fans know that six months later he would have Leeds and secure a move to the Premier League.

Gray was closing in on a move to Brentford before he ended up at Tottenham and reports said that he would get a whopping £75,000 a week with the Bees. Now, TeamTalk share how much he is on at Spurs.

Indeed, the report says that Gray will get the same amount while at Tottenham having penned a six-year deal. It means £300,000 a month, £3.6m a year and over the six years, almost a massive £22m figure.

Gray compares Leeds and Tottenham fans in first interview

The talented youngster has a wonderful connection with the fans. Not least because of his passionate performances, or the fact he is a homegrown talent, but because of his family dynasty at Leeds, too.

His father Andy, his grandfather Frank and of course his great uncle Eddie all starred for Leeds during their careers. Younger brother Harry is highly though of in the academy, and his love for Leeds remains.

Not only did he send a touching message to Leeds fans on Instagram, but Gray also told Tottenham’s media in his first interview that Leeds fans are “massive” before comparing the connection to Spurs.
