What Inter Miami linked Raphael Varane will do in the coming weeks after meeting with Cesc Fabregas

Inter Miami target Raphael Varane will reportedly make a decision on his future soon after meeting with Como 1907 coach Cesc Fabregas.

The French defender is currently in the market for a new club having officially left Manchester United at the end of his contract, with Inter Miami one of the many teams interested in signing Varane, alongside Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr.

With newly-promoted Serie A side Como joining the competition, the race to land Varane is heating up by the day, with the 31-year-old defender now weighing up his options on what his next move should be this summer.

Varane to make decision on future soon after Inter Miami links

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Varane will soon decide on which team to sign for next having traveled to Como to meet with Fabregas, with the defender having a number of offers on the table from other teams.

As per the report, Varane has one offer from an unnamed MLS side, likely to be Inter Miami given how strongly the Herons have been linked with the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner in recent weeks.

Indeed, Varane to Inter Miami could still be the most likely transfer this summer based on how early the Florida franchise got in with their interest in the defender and the lifestyle Tata Martino’s side can offer.

However, with Varane yet to make a decision having met with Como, there’s a good chance that Fabregas’ side could be the team that now end up signing the French defender this summer.

Herons have to push as hard as they can to sign Varane

Varane is clearly a top target for the likes of Inter Miami this summer, with central defense the key area of the squad the Herons have to invest in if they’re to push for MLS Cup and the Supporters’ Shield this year.

With Como pushing hard, though, Inter Miami need to do all they can to try and lure the 31-year-old to Florida, where Varane could thrive in MLS and enjoy a new life for himself in the United States.

Whilst sorting out a suitable contract could be hard for Inter Miami given the restrictions of MLS, the intent to sign Varane has to be there, with the defender an superstar transfer in the making that could be huge for the Herons this summer.
