'Amazing player': Euro 2024 midfielder encourages £15m man to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer

Tottenham Hotspur and up and running in this summer’s transfer window with players both coming and going already inside the opening month.

Archie Gray has not completed his move to Tottenham which has made him the first permanent signing of their summer window.

But this does not cover the full story of Tottenham’s summer with Daniel Levy and Ange Postecoglou greenlighting the exit of numerous players.

Tanguy Ndombele is the big name to be moved on this summer with the likes of Joe Rodon having more recently been sold.

There remain a number of players who could be moved on over the coming weeks as Postecoglou continues to really make this Spurs side his own.

And there is one specifically who is being pushed to make a move to another big European side.

Euro 2024 player urges Tottenham player to make move this summer

One other player who could be waving goodbye to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer is midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

The Dane has been heavily linked with a potential move away from north London this summer and Borussia Dortmund is a side who are said to be interested.

Hojbjerg will now find himself enjoying a break having just been eliminated from Euro 2024 with Denmark following their defeat to Germany.

Following Denmark’s exit from the Euros, Hojbjerg’s international teammate Thomas Delaney has told the media he would like to see the Spurs midfielder join his former side, Dortmund.

“I would recommend (the move) both – Borussia Dortmund and Pierre,” Delaney told Sky Germany.

“He’s an amazing player. For me he’s a top international central midfielder.“

Tottenham could earn good money on Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg

Spurs only signed Hojbjerg for a fee in the region of £15m back in 2020 from Southampton so they could be in a good position to at least get their money back.

The Dane only has one year remaining on his current deal with the Lilywhites but has amassed enough experience now to warrant a decent fee.

It has become apparent the 28-year-old is not in the plans of Postecoglou given his game time was dramatically cut last season.

So any fee that would arrive for Hojbjerg would be useful for Spurs and would mark smart business from Levy with Tottenham having bolstered their midfield with two exciting, young options in Gray and Lucas Bergvall.
