MC&T was first to deliver on some fresh 2022 Chevrolet Camaro details earlier this year, and now it’s time to for potential customers to get a real visual on what these details look like. The 2022 Camaro configurator is officially live, so let’s take a look.
2022 Chevrolet Camaro Details
Good news: pricing for trim levels appear to be unchanged from 2021. That means for just over $35,000 USD customers can treat themselves to the most affordable V8 muscle car on the market right now in the form of the 2022 Chevrolet Camaro LT1. It’s also the most powerful V8 engine for the money, too, at 455 horses. Compare that to the Dodge Challenger R/T, which comes in at 375 horsepower. It’s no wonder why the Camaro LT1 trim level has become the darling of the lineup, with its take rate swelling to over 25 percent of the entire lineup.

While clicking through the 2022 Chevrolet Camaro configurator, don’t forget to have a look at the two new hues that have joined the color wheel: Rapid Blue and Vivid Orange Metallic. The seer-sucking colors are in place of Shock Yellow, which is probably for the better. Also new for 2022 is the Design Package 3. Effectively replacing the Shock and Steel Special Edition, the Camaro Design Package 3 takes all of the content from that package, which was only available in four colors, and applies it to the entire color palette of the Chevrolet muscle car. It’s also available on all trim levels, save for the entry 1LT and the range-topping ZL1.
2022 Chevrolet Camaro production is scheduled to start in September, should there be enough semiconductor microchips to go around. The sixth-generation Camaro is otherwise expected to sunset by the 2024 model year, with the latest industry analyst report claiming that General Motors will replace it with some sort of performance electric sedan, perhaps sharing components with the eventual replacements to the Cadillac CT4 and CT5.
