Brian Austin Green & Sharna Burgess Booted From 'DWTS' After Facing Backlash Over PDA

Brian Austin Green and girlfriend Sharna Burgess were eliminated from Dancing with the Stars, one day after they were slammed by the judges for overdoing their real-life romance on the dance floor.

The couple — partnered together on Season 30 — was cut during "Disney Week" on Tuesday, October 12, immediately after it was revealed they scored the lowest out of all the other pairs during Villains Night. The viewer votes were tallied and combined with the judges' votes, which placed Green, 48, and Burgess, 36, at the bottom.

With Burgess dressed as Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean and Green as Sparrow's rival, Captain Barbossa, the duo danced to a pirate-themed Paso Doble. Judge Len Goodman and Derek Hough applauded the two on the fight scenes in their dance, per the Daily Mail. And while Carrie Ann Inaba said Green put in a "valiant" effort, the judges gave them a 27 out of 40.

Former Bachelor Matt James and partner Lindsay Arnold were also eliminated after the judges had to decide whether to keep the handsome hunk or Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore.

The end of Green and Burgess' time on the reality dance competition shouldn't come as a surprise, given they were on the receiving end of harsh feedback from the judges one night prior.

On Monday, October 11, the lovebirds came under fire following their waltz to “Someday My Prince Will Come” from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, with Burgess portraying Snow White and Green as her prince.

While the performance was based on a romantic fairytale, OK! reported the judges felt the pair was overdoing it, as they seemingly mixed their personal relationship with their professional one.

Goodman candidly told Green and Burgess — who confirmed their relationship in January — he didn't need all “the kissing and cuddling and messing about," as he would've rather seen “a much more traditional waltz."

Fellow judge Bruno Tonioli backed Goodman's stance, with him comically adding: ”Sometimes too much sweetness gives you a toothache."

Meanwhile, this wasn't the first time the loved-up couple was called out for their relationship.

The blonde babe defended their relationship just last week by snapping back at fans who expressed their distaste for the two being affectionate during their performance. "For those that say we kiss too much, here’s a full 🍑 grab instead 😂," the dancer captioned a photo of the two embracing each other while practicing on the ballroom floor. "But for real though, we kissed once in the first show that’s it. This isn’t a showmance, this is real life love and it’s a part of our journey."

The former DWTS pair was first linked months after the Desperate Housewives actor's estranged wife, Megan Fox — who has been going strong with boyfriend Machine Gun Kelly for almost a year now — filed for divorce last November. The former flames share Noah Shannon, 9, Bodhi Ransom, 7 and Journey River, 5.
