Wendy Williams Reportedly Drops $4.5 Million On High-Rise Apartment As Health Crisis Continues

Wendy Williams' health issues haven't stopped her from adding a new property to her real estate portfolio.

The embattled talk show host reportedly bought herself a New York City sky-rise apartment for $4.5 million a few months ago. Located in the NYC's Financial District, Williams' new 2,400-square-foot abode includes three-bedrooms and three-bathrooms with an open-concept kitchen that boasts walnut cabinets, granite countertops and a wine fridge, Us Weekly reported.

Williams' luxury building also reportedly offers a gym and spa — which includes a lap pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna.

Despite the upset, the announcement revealed the talk show will start “airing originals” on Monday, “with an exciting lineup of guest hosts and panels to be announced shortly."

The not-so-shocking statement comes after the Season 13 premiere, set for September 20, was pushed back due to her "ongoing health issues," one of which included her breakthrough COVID-19 case. Shortly after, OK! learned the The Ask Wendy: Straight-Up Advice for All the Drama In Your Life author was hospitalized for "psychiatric services."

The Wendy Williams Show was later pushed back to October 4 and then October 18. Now it's unclear if she'll ever take the stage again, as an insider previously revealed: "She could very well walk away. She’s over it.”

Prior to her recent hospitalization, insiders revealed the brunette beauty had been struggling with health issues for a while and was "drinking everyday while filming."

While the recent statement confirmed she will continue to "be under medical supervision" and meet "with her medical team on a daily basis,” Williams' production company, Debmar-Mercury, did not address her mental health woes.

Instead they noted: “She is making progress, but is experiencing serious complications as a direct result of Graves’ Disease and her thyroid condition." A date for Williams' expected return has not been confirmed, with the statement concluding: “It has been determined that more time is needed before she is able to return to her live hosting duties."

As Williams continues to delay her return, OK! learned her staff are getting ready to jump ship. "Wendy's staff are looking for new jobs," spilled an insider, weeks after she voluntarily went to the hospital. “They don’t believe she will ever come back.”

Meanwhile, it isn't just her staff who are demanding answers — her fans are also insistent on knowing what's really going on behind closed doors. “Tell us the damn truth. What’s going on with Wendy?,” one fan commented on the recent statement, while another wrote: “Cancel the show Wendy ! Stop holding on to something god clearly wants you to end."
