Whitney Port Announces She's Pregnant With 'Likely Another Unhealthy Pregnancy' — But Shares Optimistic Update

Whitney Port is sharing an update about her difficult pregnancy journey.

The Hills: New Beginnings star, 36, is already a mom to 4-year old son Sonny, who she welcomed in 2017 with husband Tim Rosenman. Port has since suffered three different pregnancy losses while trying to conceive again.

In a tearful new YouTube video titled "Reacting to 'THE HILLS' | S6E6 | Whitney Port", the TV personality and her husband sat down to watch Port's former series — but first, they began to explain why their pregnancy announcement wasn’t all good news.

“I’m currently 7 weeks pregnant, which is supposed to be obviously really exciting, and it has been up until yesterday,” Port said with tears streaming down her face in the new clip. “I have been going to the doctor and monitoring it, because of my history with miscarriages.”

She explained her history with pregnancy loss, saying, “I’ve had two miscarriages and a chemical pregnancy,” which is a miscarriage that occurs extremely early on in the pregnancy. “Everything was looking good up until yesterday.”

Port detailed her ultrasound appointment earlier in the week, saying “whatever was happening in there was not where it was supposed to be given the week that I’m at.” She also revealed that her “amazing” OB-GYN has been “pessimistic” about the pregnancy.

“He told me to get blood drawn. So, I will get blood results back today and see if numbers are going up or going down. He thinks they’ll likely be going down. And he is having me come in for another ultrasound on Monday,” she continued.

“But the moral of the story is, this is likely another unhealthy pregnancy,” she said through tears. “It's such a huge part of our lives right now, and it affects everything, physically and mentally, and everything that we do.”

“And it just felt like an opportunity to just share it, because I couldn’t just sit here and go on with my life and not share it,” she continued. “And I know that there’s likely so many people out there that have had to deal with this.”

The reality star also voiced her concerns about what another pregnancy loss would mean for her own self-esteem, saying that she’s “scared for myself and my confidence and my self-worth and what this means for that, and also for not being able to give this family what I think would be best for it.”

“The emotions are obviously very complicated,” she added. “I still feel very, very pregnant, my boobs are very sore and I’m extremely hungry and just very achy, but I obviously don’t know what’s going on inside my body.”

The With Whit podcast host gave a positive update in the video with a clip filmed a couple days later, explaining that the doctor “actually saw an embryo and a heartbeat, which is something that we were not expecting.”

The video itself also included a description that read, "Alert: The first seven minutes of this video are emotional. Whit's pregnant, and at the time of filming, we had just been told that things didn't look good. However, between filming and now have had another appointment where the doctor heard the heartbeat and saw an embryo, to everyone's surprise. Who knows what will happen, but we had to share with you all. No clue what goes down in the episode, but reacting is good for the soul. We hope you enjoy it!"

Port asked her followers to “keep your fingers crossed” for the family.
