If you were looking into purchasing a 2022 Jeep Wrangler in Europe with pure petrol-powered joy, you’re going to be disappointed to find out that the only 2022 model Wrangler you can get is the Unlimited 4xe. However, being the most capable, powerful, eco-friendly, and technologically advanced Wrangler ever produced, it might not be that big of a disappointment.
According to Mopar Insiders, orders for the 2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4xe opened for dealers in Italy, Spain, Belgium, and Serbia and will progressively open across Europe during the month. The Wrangler 4xe uses the PHEV powertrain, which enables customers to travel in full-electric with a range of 50 km (31 miles), which is perfect for everyday commutes to work. The Wrangler Unlimited 4xe enhances the performance of the Wrangler, enabling the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in 6.4 seconds. Under the hood, the power reaches 375 horsepower (280 kW) and 470 lb.-ft. (637 Nm) of torque.

For 2022, new customers for the Jeep Wrangler will get an assortment of color options, including a new Silver Zenith Metallic Clear-Coat and High-Velocity Metallic Clear-Coat. In turn, the Wrangler rotating colors program will offer two additional colors; from now through January 2022, the Tuscadero color will be available to order. Meanwhile, the Gobi will join the Jeep palette for a limited time, starting in spring through the summer of 2022.
Outside of the colors, the 2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4xe models will feature an available factory-installed JPP windshield with Corning Gorilla Glass. The glass uses the same chemical-strengthening technology as cell phone screens combined with an ultra-thin Gorilla Glass inner ply with a 52% thicker outer ply which makes the windshield up to three times more resistant to chips and cracks. Lastly, the 2022 Wrangler 4xe will offer the new Sunrider Flip Top by Mopar, which adds a soft top over the vehicle’s front row while the rest of the roof remains a hardtop. The panel uses black twill fabric, the same material used in some convertible tops.
