2022 FORD BRONCO LINEUP SEES ANOTHER PRICE HIKE

The Ford Bronco continues to be a highly sought after product, but continued headwinds keep Ford Motor Company from fulfilling orders in a timely manner. Covid, microchips, MIC hardtops, and on and on. So it comes to little surprise to report on what we’re about to tell you next: a price increase for the 2022 model year.

The Bronco Sport appears to be void of this particular increase, for now, it’s already seen its share of price hikes from Ford. Also seemingly spared from the price hikes are the newer editions to the Bronco family, the Everglades and Bronco Raptor, both of which just had their price configurators added to the main Ford Bronco website. A Bronco6G forum member shared an email sent to Ford employees earlier this week indicating the price hikes and what each trim level’s new exact cost will be. The Base, Big Bend, Black Diamond, and Outer Banks 2-door models, see a price hike of $1,500. The Wildtrak and Badlands editions will receive a bigger nudge of exactly $2,000. The breakdown of the two-door and four-door configurations can be seen below.

There is some good news however, Ford is offering price protection under the guise of a supplementary delivery allowance. The protection covers order holders from March 24th of 2021 including those orders that were later turned into 2022 orders. In addition, all customers with a MIC order placed by August of last year and were plagued by the supply chain issue of the hardtop are eligible as well. Also, for every case where a price protection certificate is issued the customer must receive 100% of their protection amount. The program is set to expire in December of 2023.
