Cadillac has just announced the specs, details, and availability reveal date for the Cadillac Escalade-V, which will be on May 11th on the Cadillac website. Cadillac’s V-Series is the ultimate expression of Cadillac performance, technology, and design. Their V-Series vehicles represent a blend of refinement and power, offering bold performance-inspired styling, and the 2023 Escalade-V will be the first SUV to don the V-Series badge and will no doubt be just as thrilling to drive.

MC&T originally reported that GM was working on a Cadillac Escalade-V back in 2019, and these new teasers, along with earlier spy videos, have validated our exclusive reports. The Cadillac Escalade-V will be the most potent gasoline-powered SUV General Motors has ever built. Under the hood will sit GM’s 6.2L LT4 V8 engine, which can produce various levels of horsepower from 640 in the third-generation CTS-V to 650 hp in the Camaro ZL1. The CT5-V Blackwing also has this same engine and has 668 ponies under the hood. So it’s likely we’ll see the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V with power output somewhere within that range.

Of course, with great power comes significant sums of money, and the pricing for the supercharged Cadillac Escalade is expected to start well into the $100,000+ USD range. Production for the SUV is set to happen within the General Motors Arlington Assembly plant in Texas. The Escalade-V will not have a widebody design based on the official photos. Additionally, it won’t incorporate a different set of tires from the standard model. Instead, the main identifying factors for the SUV will be the subtle front fascia changes, a quartet of exhaust tips compared to just two, the not-so-subtle “V” badging on the sides, and unique wheels. Of course, another distinguishing factor for the Cadillac Escalade-V is the exhaust note which will certainly catch the attention of those around.
