JEEP TEASES V8 WRANGLER FOR MOAB EASTER SAFARI

Teasing for the annual Jeep Moab Easter Safari started about two-weeks ago. And so far we’ve been led to believe that Jeep will feature both an electrified Grand Cherokee 4xe and a Jeep Gladiator. Now, we’ve seen what appears to be a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 392 showing its face in the newest teaser, depicted above.

The Jeep Moab Easter Safari is set to take place between April 9th and 17th. It will be the 56th running, and one of Jeeps biggest events of the year. While there are bound to be more vehicle teasers, the 470-hp Wrangler Unlimited 392, plug-in Grand Cherokee 4xe, and Gladiator pickup truck are already demonstrating Jeep’s breadth of product.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk 4xe is a plug-in-hybrid and sports a turbo-charged 2.0L four cylinder paired with a 400 volt battery pack that enables 56 mpge, which should be a welcome feature in the middle of the desert, or when gas is as expensive as it is today. The Gladiator on the other hand doesn’t have a plug-in-hybrid iteration or a Hemi V8 powered option offered as of yet, but expect that to eventually change. The Gladiator does offer two engine options however, a 3.6L V6 that produces 285 horsepower and a 3.0L EcoDiesel V6 that offers 260 horsepower and a meaty 442 lb-ft of torque, while returning an EPA estimated 28 mpg highway.

Jeep and Jeep Performance Parts are sure to bring their best to the table when thousands of Jeep enthusiasts gather in Moab Utah for a Jeep Safari tradition dating back over 50-years. Registration for the event as well as event details are available now on the host, Red Rock 4-Wheelers, website.
