NEW CHEVROLET S10 MAX PRICED IN MEXICO FOR FORD MAVERICK MONEY

Chevrolet recently announced the price for its 2023 S10 Max midsize pickup line in Mexico. It’s a full breadth of vehicles meant to suit the needs of a modest budget, including a Chassis Cab, Regular Cab, Double Cab, and the Double Cab Turbo, which is a 4×4 version. The truck starting Chassis Cab trim will be 379,900 Mexican Pesos or $19,215 USD, making it pretty close to the same price as a Ford Maverick. And we can’t help but think how much we want this thing to be sold here in America.

2023 Chevrolet S10 Max: Details

The 2023 Chevrolet S10 Max exterior features 16″ aluminum wheels, manual-adjustable halogen headlights, taillights, and 6 available exterior colors. The Double Cab Turbo 4×4 version has fascia, side mirrors, and door handles in body color, as well as a body covered with a spray-on bedliner. Additionally, the bed is also equipped with 6 external fastening hooks. The interior of the 2023 Chevrolet S10 Max features a 10″ touch screen with smartphone integration, 4 speakers, keyless access and ignition button, automatic air conditioning with rear vents, and leather touch seats.

The new Chevrolet truck lineup is powered by two engine options that benefit fuel economy. A 2.4L four-cylinder engine provides a humble 141 horsepower and 148 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The the upgrade is a 2.0L engine with a more reasonable 218 ponies and 258 lb-ft of torque, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. In addition, the Chassis Cab version of the truck can pull up to 1.2 tons (about 2,640 pounds), while the models equipped with the 2.4-liter engine are capable of towing up to 1.5 tons (about 3,300 pounds).

As mentioned, pricing for the 2023 Chevrolet S10 Max starts at just $19,215, which falls in line right with the Ford Maverick‘s price tag. However, if you opt to purchase the top trim Double Cab Turbo 4×4, the price can quickly go up to 599,900 Mexican pesos ($30,342 USD). The vehicle will be available in the Chevrolet Dealer Network of the Mexican Republic starting at the beginning of May 2022. Production of the new truck happens in China.
