Production for the 2022 Corvette model year comes to a close this week, and the 2023 Corvette model year will begin the week of May 16th. Chevrolet has sent a report to dealers to help them prepare for next week’s order cycle. Unfortunately, while there’s plenty to get excited about with the arrival of the 2023 Corvette, it seems the 70th Anniversary Corvette won’t be in production at the start.
We expected to see the 70th Anniversary Editions begin production alongside the 2023 Corvette Stingray. However, according to Corvette Blogger, the exclusive 70th Anniversary Wheel (code: Q9A) with the Red Stripe for the special edition package isn’t available yet. Because of this, there is a slight delay in the edition; and communication on how short the delay will be isn’t immediate.
2023 Corvette 70th Anniversary Edition: Details
The 2023 Corvette 70th Anniversary Edition will be available in just two exterior colors unique to the package: White Pearl Metallic Tri-coat or Carbon Flash Metallic. Stripes are available in Satin Gray with the White Pearl Metallic Tri-coat and Satin Black with the Carbon Flash Metallic. In addition, these collectible Corvettes will feature black wheels with commemorative center caps and Edge Red striping. The spoke patterns on the Stingray and Z06 models will be different, but the color theme will be the same.
The interior of the special C8 Corvette will feature two-tone Ceramic leather GT2 or Competition Sport seats. Red stitching throughout, red seatbelts, and sueded microfiber seat inserts and steering wheel will further customize the interior of these cars. The cars will also feature 70th Anniversary Edition exterior badging, including special Corvette cross flags. In addition, the cars feature edge Red brake calipers, and a 70th Anniversary Edition logo can be found on the seats, steering wheel, and sill plates. Customers will also receive a custom luggage set with red stitching and a 70th Anniversary Edition logo.
