NEW CHEVROLET CAMARO Z/28 LEGO SET HEADING THIS WAY

No matter what happens next, the Chevrolet Camaro has cemented its legacy in Automotive Americana as an icon. A hall of famer in the pantheon of car culture. After all, Lego doesn’t just decide to make a lifelike kit of just any car. But the Danish building block company has recently debuted its new Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 kit, which will hit store shelves next month.

Lego has so far created a pretty sweet lineup of “Speed Champions” that feature the likes of the Ford Bronco R, Ford GT, Corvette C8.R, an old school 1968 C3 Corvette, and that’s just scratching the surface. This newest edition to Lego’s muscle car lineup will be added as part of Lego’s “Icon” series, and as you can see, is based on the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28.

It’s currently listed on Lego’s website for $169.99 and will officially go on sale on August 1st. The Lego Camaro Z/28 can be customized in a few different ways. A couple of mainstays and staples of the car however include the red interior, signature ZL2 cowl induction hood, and subtle rear spoiler. As far as options go, you can choose to feature white, gray, or red stripes as well as choosing to expose the headlights or not. You are also able to choose whether or not your Lego Camaro is a convertible or not. As for accessories, you can’t forget about the dice in the mirror so Lego threw those in as well as two specialty plates you can run, “CHVY 69” or “P4N T3R.”

Both the trunk and hood open. With the hood open, you’ll catch a glimpse of the legendary small block 302 engine with the inscription “302 turbo-fire” written on the air filter. That engine, in its prime, was capable of 290 horsepower, which was sufficient for the drag strip in its day.
