2023 FORD F-150 RAPTOR GETS MORE STANDARD CONTENT

It looks like the Ford F-150 Tremor isn’t the only trim seeing a jump in price for the 2023 model year, As the higher-end Raptor variant is also seeing an adjustment in its base content. For 2023, the Ford F-150 Raptor is dropping the more basic 800A equipment group for the 2023 model year according to the official order guide sent to dealers, and will have the 801A equipment group as standard instead.

Ford F-150 Raptor: Changes For 2023

The new base for the F-150 Raptor will be the 801A equipment group, which could be re-named to Raptor High. As a result of this switch which gives the ultimate F-150 some more glamor, the pricing is expected to increase some $4,755, bringing the total cost to around $75,775 for the 2023 F-150 Raptor. 801A includes all of the content from 800A (including the Convenience Package and Torsen front differential), plus some notable additions that make the truck more advanced, including:

  • BlueCruise
  • Forward Sensors
  • Rain-sensing wipers
  • Tailgate Applique “FORD”
  • Heated Steering Wheel
  • Second-row heated seats
  • LED Projector with Dynamic bending headlamps
  • Power tilt/telescoping steering column with memory
  • B&O unleashed 18 speaker system
  • Universal Garage opener
  • Wireless charging pad
  • Full leather with Suede inserts

When the F-150 Raptor is equipped with the 801A equipment group, the truck is rated at 15 mpg in the city and 16 mpg on the highway, with a 36-gallon fuel tank that should last a good while before having to refuel. Customers also have additional options available, including Pro Power Onboard, moonroof/power tailgate, and the Raptor 37 Performance Package.

As implied by the name, the 37 stands for 37-inch tires of the all-terrain variety. Wrapped around 17-inch forged wheels, these tires are complemented by sportier shock absorbers. Altogether, customers will have to pay a heftier price for the 2023 F-150 Raptor, though, with the included additions as Ford does away with the 800A package, that might not be a horrible trade-off.
