The Ford Bronco Raptor is the ultimate off-road SUV, and with that title comes high demand. Unsurprisingly, the Bronco Raptor has sold out for the 2022 model year, which means it’s only a matter of time before those orders are produced and shipped to dealerships. Ford Product Communications manager Mike Levine recently posted on Twitter that Bronco Raptors are shipping and arriving at dealerships. So if you’re one of the lucky few (aka: existing reservation holder since 2020), it won’t be much longer.
Ford Bronco Raptor: Details
The Bronco Raptor took the country by storm in January of this year when it was first revealed. Its starting price is $68,500, which is just under the F-150 Raptor, but with options, it can get as expensive as $90,000. However, you won’t be disappointed with the power courtesy of a 3.0L V6 that makes 418 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque. That’s a significant step up from the next engine option down in the Bronco line, which is the 2.7L turbocharged V6 which makes 330 ponies and 415 lb-ft of torque. An important note is that the Ranger Raptor that will be arriving in North America next year will also feature the same 3.0L twin-turbo V6 engine and will be built under the same roof as the Bronco Raptor. This means we could see similar power figures for the upcoming off-road midsize truck.
The first-ever Ford Bronco Raptor features a fully boxed frame, race truck axles, and Fox dampers, providing 13.1-inches of ground clearance. Additionally, 37-inch BF-Goodrich KO2 all-terrain tires come standard and are the only tire option from the factory. For 2022, Ford allowed specific reservation holders to convert reservations into actual orders. As a result, the individuals dubbed hand-raisers make up the small percentage that will be taking delivery of the 2022 Bronco Raptors heading to dealerships.
Currently, there isn’t any word on when the 2023 Bronco Raptor order books will open. But, unsurprisingly, people are already jumping in line for its lesser counterpart, and the same will be said for the Bronco Raptor once it’s made available again.
