GMC SIERRA EV DENALI TEASED: DEBUTS OCTOBER 20

Since Chevrolet debuted the Silverado EV, we’ve been waiting for the Sierra EV to come to the table, and it seems the wait is about to be over. GMC recently posted a video on their YouTube channel teasing the first ever Sierra EV Denali, or as they say in the video. “The Denali of EVs.”

*Update: The 2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali has officially debuted!*

GMC Sierra EV Denali: Details

The teaser video shows off the front end of the upcoming Electric truck with distinctive upside-down L-shaped lights and fog lights located just below it. The outline of the grille for the truck also seems to feature lighting with the important GMC logo in the center that also features LED lighting. We also get a glimpse of the truck’s leather seats, which feature a unique design and, of course, the “Denali” name embroidered into the headrest. At the back of the truck, it’s not easy to make out too much detail for the taillights, but we can confirm that the truck does have them. Unsurprisingly, the GMC Sierra EV Denali appears to feature a glass roof that we initially saw on the Silverado EV, which should provide passengers with a more open experience.

GMC will unveil the upcoming truck on October 20, at 5 PM ET. The video tells fans to make their way over to GMC.com to see the truck, which indicates that it’ll be unveiled there, or at least people will be able to learn more about it and place reservations. If the Chevrolet Silverado EV is anything to go off of, the First Editions will be completely reserved within a few hours after reservations are made available. This will be the luxury truck of the EV market, aside from the Hummer EV, and we imagine quite capable. Just based on the teaser, it looks pretty slick and not too far off from some of the design sketches we’ve seen in the past.

As for when people can expect to get ahold of the truck, we can expect GMC’s electric Sierra Denali to land alongside the Silverado EV in 2023 as a 2024 model-year vehicle.
