EARTHROAMER SX DEBUTS: A NEW OVERLANDNG RV UTILIZING THE SILVERADO MEDIUM DUTY

So far, EarthRoamer has only built its epic products based on the Ford Super Duty. However, that’s no longer the case, as they’ve decided to expand their reach beyond just the Earthroamer LTi. And at the 2022 SEMA Show, the Colorado-based upfitter pulled the sheet off the EarthRoamer SX, a new machine that utilizes the platform of the Chevrolet Silverado Medium Duty truck.

EarthRoamer SX Chevrolet Silverado Medium Duty: Details

The EarthRoamer SX utilizes the same technology and innovations incorporated into the LTi line, but it takes the Overlanding vehicle a few steps further. The SX is next level with a full dry bath, a walk-in shower, additional sleeping and seating areas, and a large garage space for all your gear. Starting its life as a Chevrolet Silverado 6500HD with a powerful and reliable Duramax 6.6L L5P Turbo-diesel V8 engine and Allison 6-speed transmission, customers have the power they need to redefine their adventures.

Water and fuel capacities have been increased, and there are a full 270 degrees of window views. An optional washer/dryer unit is available, and a massive 18,000-watt lithium-ion battery ensures that you feel at home while taking in the sight of remote destinations. Other highlights of the EarthRoamer SX include the following:

  • Vacuum-infused Carbon Fiber Camper Body
  • Digital Electrical Control Systems
  • Frameless, Flush-Mount Glass Windows
  • Four Seasons, All Weather Capable
  • Self Sufficient, NO Propane, No Noisy Generator
  • Seatbelts / Sleeping for up to Six People
  • 43″ Military Grade Goodyear Tires on Beadlock Rings
  • Auto Charge Function
  • Dual Inverter Chargers
  • Massive Rooftop Solar Array
  • Rainfall Shower
  • Intelligently Designed Luxury Interior

Regarding this vehicle’s capacities, it’s pretty impressive with 100 gallons of Diesel, 120 gallons of fresh water, 55-gallon grey water, 1600 watts of solar power, and the previously mentioned 18000-watt hour lithium battery bank. Of course, a luxurious off-roader like this comes at a cost. The waitlist for the EarthRoamer SX is typically 7-10 months from the time of order. In addition, an initial deposit fee of $125,000 is required, along with a signed sales agreement, to reserve the next production spot in your name. The base price of the SX is $995,000; meanwhile, a well-equipped SX will generally come out to a final price in the $1,050,000 – $1,100,000 range.
