CHEVROLET UNLOCKS ANOTHER 2023 CORVETTE Z06 ACCESSORY

Despite a few delays, 2023 C8 Corvette Z06 production is underway at the General Motors Bowling Green Assembly facility in Kentucky. And with that comes a couple of a la carte add-ons that customers can select for dealer installation upon delivery of their world-beating supercar. We already took a look at the low-wing carbon fiber spoiler accessory for the new Corvette Z06. Today, we’re taking a look at the available Edge Red LT6 engine manifold.

Per some dealer information shared with Corvette Blogger, you can now order your 2023 Z06 with a red manifold cover for $595. The build and price tool has yet to be updated but the option exists nevertheless. The only caveat to the offering is that it is, for reasons unknown, only applicable to the two-door coupe for the time being. The accessory option using RPO (Regular Production Option) BCW was first debuted at the Indianapolis 500 race earlier this year. The Z06 held the honor of being the official pace car of the race. As such, it was taken on multiple media rides, some of which saw speeds in the triple digits.

Speaking of add-ons, If you want to build or paint the 670 horsepower LT6 engine, code-named “Gemini,” that goes into every 2023 Corvette Z06, you can add that experience on to your overall order. If you’d rather witness a Z06 being built and nothing more, GM announced the return of the Bowling Green Assembly plant in-person tours not too long ago as well.

Up ahead, look for GM to ramp up C8 Corvette production as it seeks to meet rabid demand, as well as future variants of the mid-engined sports car. This includes the highly anticipated E-Ray, which will be the first hybrid, all-wheel drive production Corvette. It’s expected that its 0-60 acceleration rate will be able to surpass the Z06, thanks to the added traction of AWD. From there, look for a Corvette brand expansion, which will include an electric sedan by mid-decade, followed by an electric SUV a few years after.
