When the new Dodge Hornet SUV debuted during Speed Week last year, it warranted over 14,000 pre-orders within 24 hours. Now, it’s officially up on Dodge’s build and price tool albeit it’s a little more expensive than we thought, and it’s missing a major trim selection. If you go all-in, a 2023 Dodge Hornet price tops out at $44,420 USD.

The 2023 Dodge Hornet has been in the works for a while now, sharing a lot of commonality with the Alfa Romeo Tonale SUV. It was officially revealed just ahead of the all-electric Charger SRT Banshee. There are currently only two trims to choose from on the build and price tool: the Hornet GT and Hornet GT Plus, which features a a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder that makes 265 horsepower and is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission.. Absent from the configurator is the Dodge Hornet R/T model. The Hornet R/T is a hybrid SUV, and features a turbocharged 1.3L engine supplying power to the front wheels and a 90 kW motor for the rear all in all producing 285 horsepower.
Dodge looks to further unlock the potential of the Hornet through the Direct Connection program, which was hinted by the Hornet GLH Concept.
Dodge Hornet GT & GT Plus
The GT has an MSRP of $30,590 while the GT Plus comes in at $35,490, both of which are slightly more expensive than the “under $30,000” price range Dodge was shooting for. Taking into consideration color choice, of which you have seven choices, black and white come at no extra cost while the others fluctuate between an additional $495 and $595 we begin adding up extras to determine the most expensive Hornet. Adding on the track pack, warrants nicer 20-inch wheels, alcantara seats, red painted brake calipers, bright pedals, dual-mode suspension, aluminum door sills, and a leather steering wheel. Adding on the Blacktop package shoots the price up another $1,995 for darkened GT and Hornet badges, and a Tech package adds another $2,245 to the total of $44,420 which is about $13,830 more expensive than the most basic trim you can buy.
