Kentucky Track & Field earned some hardware after the conclusion of the 2024 outdoor season. Assistant coach Kris Grimes and senior Keaton Daniel both earned Southeast Region awards by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association on Friday. Daniel earned the Southeast Region’s Men’s Field Athlete of the Year and Grimes was named the Men’s Assistant Coach of the Year. The University of Kentucky Track and Field Men’s 4×100 meter relay team channeled their inner Ricky Bobby on Friday at the NCAA Division I East First Rounds and went fast. I mean, fast-fast. The team broke the school record with a blazing time of 38.53 seconds. This bested their own school record, one they set earlier this year.
