PRICE INCREASES HAVE ALREADY HIT THE FORD MUSTANG DARK HORSE

The current state of things has price increases for vehicles constantly on the rise; if you’re planning on buying something, it’s best to get your orders in as soon as possible to avoid getting hit with having to pay more later. We’ve seen this transpire for several Ford vehicles, including the Bronco and F-150 line, and now, the same can be said about the Ford Mustang Dark Horse, as a recent update to the Build & Price tool shows an increase of about $2,000 for both the standard and premium editions of the performance-focused S650 Mustang. Keep in mind, the next-gen muscle car isn’t even out yet.

Ford Mustang Dark Horse Price Hike: Details

The discovery comes from the Mustang7g forum, which now shows that the starting price for the 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse is $59,270, while the Dark Horse Premium now starts at $63,265. Those prices are before the addition of the destination fee and any other additions one might add to the cars, which can easily balloon the cost of the vehicles to around $70,000, which is beyond that of even standard Dodge Hellcat or Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 muscle cars, for much less power. However, you do get many goodies included.

The 2024 Ford Mustang has a class-leading 500 horsepower and shares some engine parts with the 760-horsepower S550 Shelby GT500 Mustang, resulting in the Dark Horse being the most potent non-Shelby Mustang ever. With a combination of exterior and interior design, the newest iteration of the Ford Pony car is unlike anything we’ve seen before. High-performance results in an exhilarating driving experience and new levels of customization through technology that ensures a customer feels genuinely unique behind the wheel of their particular car.

That said, this won’t be the last price increase for the 2024 Ford Mustang. Each dealership will receive at least one high-performance pony car allocation. While the MSRP has increased, that doesn’t even account for the dealer markup attempts that will inevitably transpire once they get delivered across the country. No matter how you look at it, hopefully you’re prepared to pay up.
