JAPAN GETS ANOTHER SPECIAL EDITION CHEVROLET CAMARO

Chevrolet has decided to give Japan another special edition Camaro, and we’re starting to think favoritism is at play. Though, we also got a special edition, not in a flashy orange, just in preparation for sending off the muscle car, as 2024 will be its final year. As for Japan, they’re getting a bright orange car that will stand out no matter where it is.

Chevrolet Camaro Vivid Orange Edition: Details

This particular version of the Chevy Camaro has been dubbed the Vivid Orange Edition; name creativity is off the charts with this one as the entire body is painted in, well, Vivid Orange. Contrasting the paintwork is a silver racing stripe running along the hood, roof, and decklid of the Camaro. Chevrolet has also equipped the car with a set of five-spoke silver wheels, which match the stripe nicely. Additionally, the muscle car’s interior features Recaro performance bucket seats with a jet-black finish. Chevrolet has also partnered with artist Number-D to commission a unique piece of art commemorating the model’s launch.

As for all the other aspects of the car, it’s identical to other Camaro SS models. It continues to be powered by a 6.2-liter naturally-aspirated LT1 V8 engine that produces 455 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque. An 8-speed automatic transmission is mated to the engine, which sends power to the rear wheels. It’s unclear if Chevrolet intends to give Japan any of the upcoming 2024 Camaro Collector’s Edition models. Still, provided that they always get a slice of the Camaro cake, it’s not something we’ll rule out yet.

It’s unclear what the production count for the Chevrolet Camaro Vivid Orange Edition will be, but at least people can get a pretty good idea of how much the muscle car will cost. It’ll start at 8,930,000 yen, which is roughly $66,200 USD. By comparison, a standard Camaro SS is available for 8,100,000 yen which is about $60,000 USD.
