Ford recently unveiled the 2024 Ford Ranger for the North American market; with it, there’s plenty to be excited about. We know the pricing for the next-generation Ford Ranger, and we can compare those numbers to the price of its competitive trucks thanks to a list on the Ranger6g forum. However, before we dive into it, it’s best to highlight that Toyota will unveil the next-generation 2024 Tacoma on Friday, so its price may differ slightly from what’s described here.
Ford Ranger Price vs. Competitors: Details
Starting with the base price for the 2024 Ford Ranger, customers will be shelling out around $34,160, including the destination fee, which is a fair bit more than the base Chevrolet Colorado which has a price of $30,695 with the destination. The 2023 GMC Canyon base is $38,395, so the Ranger falls between the two. As for the 2023 Jeep Gladiator, it weighs in at around $40,570. Meanwhile, the 2023 Toyota Tacoma base is the cheapest at $29,585. So the new Tacoma will likely see a price increase that will fall within a similar range to that of the Chevrolet Colorado, but we’ll have to wait to see.

All of these trucks have an ultimate form, which improves power output, and off-road capability to make a more adventurous vehicle. Unfortunately, that comes at a substantially higher price than the base. Starting with the 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor, the MSRP is $56,960, including the destination fee, about $8,000 more than the 2023 Colorado ZR2. On the other hand, it’s about $30,000 less than the 2023 Bronco Raptor, which costs around $87,875, including destination. The 2023 GMC Canyon AT4X trim sells for $56,995, just $35 USD more than the Ranger Raptor. Meanwhile, the Jeep Gladiator Rubicon has an MSRP of $52,790, while the 2023 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro costs around $49,020 (while the next-gen model is expected to see a price jump).
Based on these numbers, the Ford Ranger Raptor is one of the more expensive high-end midsize trucks on the market, though the pricing is certainly competitive against its competition.
