2019 CHEVROLET CAMARO OWNER GETS A COLLECTABLE SURPRISE

2019 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 owner Nabid Choudhury recently ordered a replacement steering wheel for his car due to it getting worn out. Though, once the part arrived, Choudhury was pleasantly surprised to find that instead of the Chevrolet Bowtie engraved into the center of the wheel, the Camaro Panther took its place, creating an epic mistake, but one that Choudhury would undoubtedly accept since he now has a steering wheel for a collectable trim that hasn’t even released yet.

Chevrolet Camaro Six Collector’s Edition Steering Wheel: An Easter Egg Or An Honest Mistake?

If you aren’t aware, the sixth-generation Chevrolet Camaro production will end after the 2024 model year. Still, it won’t be going gently into that goodnight as Chevy commemorates the Camaro Six’s life with a final Collector’s Edition package for the 2024 Camaro. The package will be available on the 2024 Camaro RS and SS and a limited number of Camaro ZL1 muscle cars exclusively in North America. The 2024 Chevrolet Camaro Collector’s Edition will pay homage to the development of the first-generation Camaro in the 1960s, most notably the program’s initial code name: Panther. Now, things are starting to make sense about the goof from General Motors.

Choudhury likely has already replaced the steering wheel on his 2019 Chevrolet Camaro with the Collector’s Edition Panther one, now able to look at the center with joy, knowing he has a part for a Camaro that will be rare amongst the ZL1 trims. Of course, GM might have realized their mistake by this point, and we’re confident Choudhury has no plans to return the Panther steering wheel. But this does confirm that the Collector’s Edition will feature unique badging to help it differentiate from other Camaros on the road.

Pricing for the “Collector’s Edition” package on the Chevrolet Camaro isn’t yet available. Still, if Chevrolet decides to do a bit of special power treatment for the car, it could match that of the Cadillac Blackwing CT5-V if it’s not just an available option on the trims for the Camaro. With a limited production of around 2,000 units, the steering wheel will be proudly mounted to Choudhury’s car.
