Ben White has signed a new Arsenal contract.
The defender has extended his stay in north London, and, as you can imagine, fans and players alike are over the moon with this news.
Arsenal announced White’s new contract by getting some of his teammates to describe what the £50m man is like, and Martin Odegaard had some very kind words for the defender.
Indeed, Odegaard stated that White is one of the most caring footballers around, stating that he always works hard in training, is always up for a fight and is actually a very funny character behind the scenes.

Odegaaard spoke highly of White in Arsenal’s announcement video.
“I think when you look at him from the outside you think that he’s someone who doesn’t care too much, but he’s one of the guys who cares the most about the team, his teammates. A proper team player, he trains so hard, he’s always there when you need him in the fight, funny” Odegaard said.
What a player
Ben White may be the biggest unsung hero in this Arsenal side.
The defender isn’t the flashiest of footballers, but he always produces a performance on a matchday, and, as Odegaard says, he works incredibly hard behind the scenes too.
White is a top player and that £50m fee Arsenal spent a few years ago now looks like it’s a real bargain.
Whether he’s playing at centre-back, at right-back or even slotting into the midfield, White always gives his all and works his socks off for the team and his teammates.
Every team could use a player like White, and there’s a reason Arseanl made such a great effort to tie him down to a new contract and get this deal over the line.
White is staying at Arsenal for the foreseeable future, and that’s a big boost for the Gunners.
