Anyone who caught a glimpse of this year’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion will have seen Sutton Stracke take a turn for the worse. The Bravo star had to leave the show early, wrapping things up for the rest of the cast members including Kyle Richards, Kathy Hilton, and Dorit Kemsley.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 13 was a wild ride for many of the cast members. Crystal Kung Minkoff suffered a medical emergency on a girls’ trip and Sutton Stracke rounded off her time this season being seen by paramedics, too.
RHOBH star’s medical emergency
When Kathy Hilton entered the arena at the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 13, things took a turn for Sutton Stracke as she began “shaking” and required paramedics’ attention.
Garcelle Beauvais was sitting beside her friend when her “body shut down.” Garcelle assisted Sutton as she was escorted to her trailer for some tests.
Thankfully, Sutton turned out to be OK after her “scary” moment during the reunion. But it still took her some time to recover, and some steroid shots, before she felt herself again.
Andy Cohen ‘respects’ Garcelle
Following the reunion drama, Andy broke down Sutton’s medical emergency during a live episode of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live.
Andy was joined by co-host John Hill, and Mariah Smith from “Smith Sisters Live” when he explained how he wished he’d done things differently during the reunion.
He said:
“Now, in retrospect as a producer, I wish that I had gotten up. I was kind of like, ‘Let’s keep the trains running and let’s go forward.’ I wish that I had gone and said, ‘Garcelle, let one of our producers take Sutton to the hospital. Come join us,’ because the interesting thing is I think that Kyle thought during, because all that we hadn’t done yet was all of the Kyle Mauricio stuff, all of the Kyle Morgan stuff, and a lot of the, are y’all scared of Kathy Hilton stuff, which Garcelle and Sutton were going to be the most verbal about.”
He added how he “…just respected the fact that Garcelle wanted to be with her friend.”
Fans, on the other hand, are not impressed by another Bravo star, who showed a lack of sympathy for Sutton.
At the reunion, Kathy joked to her sister, Kyle Richards: “It’s a good way of getting out of being here.”
Many viewers of the show took to social media to call Kathy out, writing: “Oh Kathy. Even if you planned on coming for Sutton, that comment was in poor taste. She had a medical emergency.”
More commented: “I’ve always liked you but watching the reunion. You are pretty cold-hearted and not caring at all…”
Garcelle ‘looks a million dollars’ at hospital
Speaking on his radio show, Andy added how he didn’t think Garcelle was trying to “get out of the reunion” as Kathy had suggested Sutton was doing.
He said: “She would not have been, Garcelle never seemed, I don’t think she was trying to get out of the reunion. I think she was trying to be with her friend and by the way, because then I was texting Garcelle after dinner, I’m back to my hotel. She’s like, ‘I’m still at the hospital with Sutton.’ I go, ‘You’re a good friend.’ She goes, ‘Well, that’s what friends do,’ which I thought was so sweet…”
Andy added: “…and she’s there in her Dolce & Gabbana sequin dress, Garcelle looking like a million dollars at Cedars ER.”
