Report: Two London clubs now want 'extraordinary' Nottingham Forest star this summer

Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White has now emerged as a target for two Premier League clubs. This comes on the back of some financial uncertainties at Forest that have seen the club deducted four points.

Forest might have to sell one or two of their star players in the summer to balance the books. It feels as though at least one major player will need to leave and Gibbs-White will be sought after.

The Reds will be running close to the PSR threshold once again by the time the next cycle is audited. Forest won’t want to sell all of their star men but one or two leaving feels inevitable.

Tottenham and West Ham want to sign Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White

Well, it’s not taken long for the inevitable links to emerge after Forest had points deducted. The Reds could appeal the decision but it does feel as though the club have got away with one a bit.

According to TalkSPORT, West Ham and Tottenham are now two of the clubs that are placing Forest ace Gibbs-White on their list of potential targets for the summer transfer window.

Tottenham have a good relationship with Forest. Spurs took Brennan Johnson from the City Ground in the summer and it appears that the negotiations went without incident.

As for West Ham, they will definitely be in the market for a new number 10 in the summer. Lucas Paqueta has been attracting interest from Manchester City and could move on.

Gibbs-White has been with Forest since he signed from Wolves in the summer of 2022. He quickly made the number 10 position his own and altogether he’s scored nine goals and registered 13 assists.

Forest will dearly hope to keep star man

It feels inevitable that Forest will have to see one star player in the summer. Gibbs-White, Murillo and Taiwo Awoniyi are all likely to attract interest – and they will command good transfer fees.

Gibbs-White has been called ‘extraordinary’ by Garth Crooks during his time at Forest and ultimately, he’s the club’s most technically gifted player.

Who Scored shows that no player in the Forest squad has more successful dribbles and key passes than any other Reds player this season and creativity is his thing.

One thing in Forest’s favour over Gibbs-White is that they paid a lot of money for the player. As a result, the Reds will command a huge fee in return and West Ham and Tottenham must prepare to dig deep.
