Thiago Silva has now suggested that he has invited a Chelsea legend back to train with the first team at Cobham.
He took to Instagram to remind the former star after he was reminiscing on his playing days on social media.
Silva is likely entering his final months as a Chelsea player, with there being no reports of a new deal to extend his current contract right now.
However, despite only being here since 2020, he has already established himself as somewhat of a cult hero for his consistently top performances and experience shown on the pitch.
Silva invites Terry to train
He is one of the players currently still at Cobham as his teammates take part in the international break, and the stoppage in domestic football has seen club legend John Terry help out with coaching the first team.
The former skipper has been involved with the club in some capacity for a while now, however this has usually been with the youth sides at Chelsea.
It seems he was present for first team training this week though, with him and Silva engaging on social media after the Englishman admitted he was missing things as a player.
Silva replied to him: “I asked you if you wanted to train haha.”
To which Terry responded: “You did mate. Can I train tomorrow?”
Pochettino should give Silva another chance
Seeing these two together at the back in their primes is something any side would want at the back, with them both easily recognised as two of the best defenders the game has ever seen.
It remains to be seen how much Mauricio Pochettino wants to get out of the Brazilian in his final few weeks as a Chelsea player, with him only being seen on the bench in recent games.
However, injuries could see him play a part in some key games later this season.
