Fabrizio Romano says £17m speedster linked with Spurs could move this summer; likened to Alphonso Davies

Tottenham Hotspur have enjoyed a good season so far, with Champions League qualification still very much on the cards.

However, there’s still a lot of work to do at Spurs, and the summer transfer window is likely to see more incomings.

Tottenham have been linked with a number of players in recent months, particularly in attack. This is despite having landed Timo Werner on an initial loan in January.

Now, Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on one reported Spurs attacking target, saying he could well be on the move amid “serious interest” from across England.

Earlier this year, Alasdair Gold said on his YouTube channel: “Samuel Iling-Junior, another player at Juventus they like. Another versatile winger doing good things in Italy.”

What has Fabrizio Romano said about Tottenham target Samuel Iling-Junior?

Romano has now taken to X to report that the 20-year-old “could be on the move in the summer as clubs in Italy and England are showing serious interest in the winger.”

The Italian added: “Iling-Junior, out of contract in June 2025 and currently not in active talks to sign new deal despite good relationship with Juve.”

Links between Spurs and Iling-Junior go back a few months.

For instance, back in December, the Evening Standard reported that Tottenham were leading the race to sign the out-of-favour Juve winger.

Would Samuel Iling-Junior be a good fit for Tottenham Hotspur?

All in all, Iling-Junior seems like a good shout for Spurs.

He is just 20 years old, incredibly talented and first-team ready with a high ceiling, versatile and has English football experience. He has also been deemed an ‘assist machine‘, which is never a bad thing.

In addition, he seems keen on a return to the Premier League, his contract’s up in 2025, his club appears open to selling, and according to Calciomercato.it, could be available for around £17million.

Likened to Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies, Iling-Junior could prove to be the latest Juve player to kickstart his career at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
