Häagen-Dazs launches new flavor inspired by renowned New York treat

Häagen-Dazs is set to launch a brand-new flavor that was inspired by New York City’s iconic dessert, the cheesecake.

Though Häagen-Dazs are available at retailers across the globe, their shop locations operate as traditional ice-cream stores. With over 850 branches worldwide, they serve an array of food items including milkshakes, frappes, and their signature dazzler sundaes.

A taste of the big apple in every bite

In a press release on Tuesday, the ice cream company announced a new dessert heading to stores in June. The New York Strawberry Cheesecake Dazzler is said to be a “playful take on New York’s renowned treat.”

Comprised of Häagen-Dazs creamy cheesecake ice cream, the sundae is then layered with sweet strawberry sauce, graham cracker crust pieces, fresh strawberries, whipped cream, and a strawberry garnish.

“In creating this new dessert, we tipped our hats to our founders and the brand’s New York roots to develop a nostalgic ice cream experience for Shopgoers,” said Rachel Jaiven, Head of Häagen-Dazs Marketing. “The limited-time offering is a playful take on an iconic dessert for our guests to enjoy from coast to coast.”

The dessert will be available at all US locations from June 14, so mark it down in your calendars!

A busy year for Häagen-Dazs

This comes just a month after Häagen-Dazs launched two new flavors in the form of New York Strawberry Cheesecake and Vanilla Caramel Pecan.

“Our two new, original ice cream flavors New York Strawberry Cheesecake and Vanilla Caramel Pecan are certain to become consumer favorites in our national portfolio,” said Rachel Jaiven. “The New York Strawberry Cheesecake flavor is a special new flavor, we like to think of it like a love letter to our home city of New York.”

At $6.49, the 14-ounce flavors should start to pop up at retailers this month, the press release revealed.
