‘Like a brother to me’: Dele Alli says he absolutely loves 31-year-old Tottenham player

Dele Alli is a player that still holds a special place in many Tottenham fans’ hearts.

The midfielder may not be a Spurs player anymore, but he was a true fan favourite during his time at Tottenham, and he produced some very special moments in a lilywhite shirt.

A lot of the players that Alli played alongside at Spurs are no longer at the club, but there are still a few of his former teammates in north London.

Dele Alli has now sent a video message to one of his former teammates to commemorate a recent achievement.

Dele Alli’s message to Heung-Min Son

Dele Alli sent a message to Heung-Min Son after his 400 game for Tottenham which was shown on Spurs’ official YouTube channel.

“Sonny my brother, big congratulations on the 400 appearances. It is an amazing achievement we had some amazing moments on and off the pitch, you’re someone I hold very close to my heart, you’re like a brother to me, keep going, keep smilig and keep being the great human you are,” Alli said.

Son is the last man standing

When you think about Dele Alli’s time at Tottenham, you think about that incredible attacking roster that included Alli, Son, Christian Eriksen, Harry Kane, Lucas Moura and Erik Lamela.

At one point, that was arguably the best attacking roster in England, but now, Son is the only one left.

The 31-year-old is one of the only Pochettino players still at Spurs these days, and it’s almost quite sad to see how that team has been dismantled so quickly after being so close to major success a few years ago.

Son is as bright as ever at Spurs under Ange Postecoglou, but his best days at Tottenham may well have been when he was playing alongside the likes of Alli en route to a Champions League final.
