Erling Haaland must have been furious about what £7m Crystal Palace player did at half time today - opinion

Erling Haaland and Daniel Munoz were involved in an interesting exchange as Crystal Palace and Manchester City left the pitch for the half time interval today.

Oliver Glasner was surely delighted with his side’s opening 45 minutes at Selhurst Park, as Jean-Philippe Mateta extended his scoring run to four goals in six appearances, while Jordan Ayew also hit the bar.

Unfortunately, Manchester City flexed their muscles in the second half and romped to a comprehensive 4-2 win, but not before Crystal Palace No.12 Daniel Munoz did something Haaland must be been annoyed by…

What Daniel Munoz did with Erling Haaland

Well, the Colombia international was seen pestering the Norway international for his shirt at the interval.

Munoz – signed from Genk in a £6.8m deal in January – got his wish as Haaland handed over his No.9 shirt, although based on what happened back in November, the Manchester City talisman was probably not a fan of the South American’s request.

During a UEFA Champions League clash between Manchester City and BSC Young Boys, Mohamed Ali Camara could be seen asking Haaland for his shirt as both sides walked down the tunnel for a break.

The Norwegian reluctantly agreed, but was visibly annoyed and told the BSC Young Boys captain “you cannot do this” – therefore, we can only imagine what he thought of Munoz’s request.

Shirt swap aside, it was another bright performance from the Colombian, who has quickly become a fan favourite at Selhurst Park since arriving from Genk.

Crystal Palace No.12 was impressive again

The 27-year-old consistently offered himself as a passing option out on the right, and his job should now become a bit easier with Michael Olise fit to play in front of him.

On the basis of Munoz’s 16 minutes with the France U21 international down that side, it could be a real source of joy for Glasner in these final seven Premier League outings.
