Tottenham have now seen their ‘very important’ player offered to AC Milan by his agent ahead of the summer

Tottenham Hotspur have now seen one of their players offered to AC Milan ahead of the summer transfer window.

Having appointed Ange Postecoglou last year, the north London club has seen a fair few new faces come through the doors at Hotspur Way.

And a lot of the players who have been brought in have made an immediate impact at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Players like Micky van de Ven and James Maddison have provided Tottenham with instant upgrades in their respective positions.

However, this has led to a number of players struggling for game time and potentially heading for the exit in the summer.

One player who has already been told by Postecoglou that the door is open if he wants to leave is Giovani Lo Celso.

The Argentine has struggled to nail down any consistent game time under the Australian and has seen his future become uncertain with the window opening soon.

Lo Celso may not be the only player who is forced to look elsewhere this summer if they are to play more regular minutes in the first team.

Serie A is a market which Tottenham have raided in recent years with the likes of Cristian Romero, Guglielmo Vicario and Dejan Kulusevski to name just a few.

But it now seems like Serie A could well be seeing a Tottenham player make the switch in the summer.

Tottenham’s impressive form this season has seen Postecoglou stick with a fairly solid set of players when it comes to the starting XI.

The only real time when the Australian has made changes to his personnel is when the side have been hit by injuries.

And how Spurs have suffered with injuries this season. Van de Ven is one who has picked up two hamstring issues already this season.

Maddison was also out for a period of time and players like Yves Bissouma have missed game time through suspension and international duty.

This has meant Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has only been able to make six starts in the Premier League all season.

The “very important” Dane has already told the local media that he is not happy with his game time at Spurs during the most recent international break.

And he has already switched to an Italian agency earlier this year as he looks set to move on in the summer.

That new agent, Unique Sports Group, has been putting in the groundwork to potentially secure Hojbjerg with a move away this summer.

According to Calciomercato, the midfielder has already been offered to Stefano Pioli’s side, but they are not overly interested currently.

The report also suggests it will take an offer of €20m (£17m) for the Dane to be allowed to leave this summer – despite having one year left on his deal.

Postecoglou says other players will also be as unhappy as Hojbjerg

After Hojbjerg made the very honest comments about his displeasure over his lack of game time, Postecoglou responded.

The 58-year-old admitted the Dane is probably just one of a few frustrated players in his squad when he spoke to the media earlier this week.

“No, he’s doing all he can. He mentioned he is training well and he’s not happy he hasn’t played enough. I understand that,” he said.

“There are probably other players in there who are equally as unhappy that they haven’t been playing. That’s OK. I understand that, they’re human beings.
