Report: West Ham put 28-year-old up for sale after just 22 months at London Stadium

West Ham United have apparently put one player in particular up for sale ahead of the summer window.

David Moyes needs to get rid of the deadwood at West Ham in the summer transfer window in order to help raise funds for his own spending spree, and as a result one player has been put up for sale.

Up to 12 players could leave the London Stadium this summer, including those whose contracts are coming to an end.

The squad at the London Stadium is actually lacking any kind of balance, if you look at it closely.

Most of them are players who quite simply haven’t been good enough over the past year or so, and are on far too much money.

Unfortunately, a lot of Hammers players fall into that category. Moyes has plenty of incredibly talented stars who make a huge difference for us but at the same time, there are players at the club who just aren’t good enough for the Premier League.

Some of Moyes’s recruitment over the past two years has been questionable. I guess that’s why Tim Steidten was brought into the club last summer.

If we are to make genuine progress as a club over the next few years, those in charge of transfers cannot afford to make any more expensive mistakes.

Now it seems like one of Moyes’s biggest signings could be set to leave the club…

West Ham put 28-year-old player up for sale

Hammers manager Moyes made what we all thought was a really exciting signing back in the summer of 2022.

We all thought he’d be the perfect addition to Moyes’s squad and help to take us to another level.

However, that quite clearly hasn’t been the case, and now his days at the London Stadium are numbered…

According to a report from The Guardian’s Jacob Steinberg, Hammers centre-back Nayef Aguerd is expected to be up for sale this summer.

This comes as no surprise to me whatsoever – the 28-year-old centre-back has been atrocious for us over the past 12 months.

He is painfully ill-suited to Premier League football what with its physicality and intense speed. It does make me wonder if he was scouted sufficiently before we signed him.

Aguerd has been linked with the London Stadium exit door for quite some time now, with the likes of Cameron Carter-Vickers being lined up to replace him.

I fully expect the Moroccan to leave the club this summer, after Steinberg claimed that West Ham have put the player up for sale.
